CAD USD both native

An expense tracker that speaks both dollars.

Most budgeting apps make you pick one currency and flatten the other. TrackE5 treats both as equals, on every plan.

A dollar isn't always a dollar

Two charges of "$50" can be two different amounts of money. An app that adds them together isn't giving you a budget. It's giving you a number that happens to look like one.

A $50 USD charge and a $50 CAD charge are not the same amount of money.

Most budgeting tools add them together anyway, or make you pick one currency and work around the other. TrackE5 keeps each transaction in the currency it happened in.

Both currencies, treated as equals

Banks on both sides

Canadian and American accounts connect through Plaid and Flinks. Your banking password is entered with them and never reaches TrackE5.

Two sculpted blocks joined by a single glowing bar

Recorded as it happened

A US-dollar charge is imported as a US-dollar charge, not pre-converted in your head with a rate you'll have forgotten by next month.

Categorized the same way

The same deterministic rules sort transactions in either currency. No separate rule set for the other country's merchants.

On every plan

Dual-currency isn't held back for the paid tier. It's on the free plan and on Pro, at CA$9.99 or US$6.99 a month.

Encrypted, stored in Canada

TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, hosted in Canada on Google Cloud. The same for both currencies and both countries' data.

Receipts and cash too

Bank sync isn't the only route in. Snap a receipt or type an expense manually in either currency, and it's sorted the same way.

If your money already lives in two places

Paid in USD, living in Canada
Remote workers and contractors on American payroll whose income and spending sit in different denominations every single month.
Cross-border commuters
Earning on one side and buying groceries on the other, with both showing up in the same month's spending.
Snowbirds and part-year residents
Months of USD spending followed by months of CAD, in one continuous financial year rather than two separate ones.
Freelancers with clients across the border
Invoices in one currency, business costs in another, and a need to see what each project actually returned.
Anyone with USD subscriptions
Streaming, software and storage billed in US dollars against a Canadian account — the most common two-currency life, and the easiest to under-count.

What this page is not claiming

  • TrackE5 is not end-to-end encrypted and is not a zero-knowledge service. Our servers read transaction details in order to categorise them. The Security page sets out exactly what that means.
  • There is no iOS or Android app yet. TrackE5 runs on the web, and every link here goes to a waitlist rather than a store.
  • TrackE5 has not launched. Nothing on this page describes a product with users behind it — it describes what is built.
